How do I get the most entries?

lightbulbSet up direct deposit. One eligible paycheque, pension or government payment this month or last doubles every entry you have, and there's no minimum amount.
lightbulbRefer friends once you hold $100 in net deposits. Each friend who is new to Wealthsimple and funds $100 during the contest earns you 100,000 entries.
lightbulbSpin the coin at the bottom of the app's home page every day. Only the first spin each day earns entries.
lightbulbAvoid withdrawals until the contest closes: they reduce your entries. Moving money between your own Wealthsimple accounts, bill payments and card payments don't.
lightbulbDeposits and transfers must be complete, not just started, by September 30 at 11:59 pm ET. A transfer that lands later counts toward October instead.

Can I stack it with the Wealthsimple referral bonus?

New to Wealthsimple? Joining through a referral link gets you $25 once you fund $100 or more within 30 days, and Wealthsimple's rules say the contest can be combined with its other offers. That same $100, deposited by September 30, also earns 100 entries.

Once you're in, refer your own friends. Each one who is new to Wealthsimple and funds $100 during the contest earns you 100,000 contest entries. Moving $25,000 or more from another institution can also qualify for the 1% Transfer Match, and every dollar still counts as an entry.

Is Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire legit? expand_more

Yes. It's an official Wealthsimple contest, run by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc. under rules published in its help centre. Winners are drawn at random, and each must answer a skill-testing question to claim a prize.

Can existing clients enter? expand_more

Yes. New and existing clients can both take part, as long as they hold at least $1 in a Wealthsimple chequing account. Anyone registered for an earlier month is entered automatically with 500 entries.

Can Quebec residents enter? expand_more

Yes. The contest is open to legal residents of every province and territory who have reached the age of majority, Quebec included.

Do I have to deposit money to enter the Wealthsimple giveaway? expand_more

No. There is a no-purchase route: submit an original essay of 100 words or more on "How I Would Grow My Wealth With One Million Dollars" for 500 entries. The official rules explain how.

When are the draws? expand_more

Every Thursday: September 3, 10, 17 and 24, with the grand prize draw on October 1. Your entries carry over from week to week, and results show in the app on Thursday evenings.

What happens if I win the Wealthsimple condo giveaway? expand_more

The condo has to be accepted as awarded; there is no cash alternative. Wealthsimple covers the legal and closing costs to put it in your name, and after that the property taxes, utilities, insurance and upkeep are yours. You can live in it, rent it out or sell it. KING Toronto is pre-construction, with occupancy expected around July 2027.

How does Wealthsimple Spin the Coin work? expand_more

Once a day, spin the gold coin at the bottom of the app's home page for 5 to 50,000 entries. You can keep spinning, but only the first spin of the day counts.

Is there a Wealthsimple Millionaire contest every month? expand_more
